Big South Announces Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week - Sept. 17

Jessica Perriello (Alpharetta, Ga.) has been named the Big South Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while UNC Asheville’s
Marika Dickel (Keezletown, Va.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week honoree for meets ran Sept. 11-14, it was announced today.
At the Furman Invitational, Perriello ran a school-record time of 23:35.27 in the four-mile race. She was the top finisher among the 24 Big South competitors, and crossed the finish line 16th out of 69 runners.
Dickel also competed at the Furman Invitational, and turned in a four-mile time of 24:18.18 for 26th-place overall. She scored for the Bulldogs as the team’s fourth-best runner of the day, and was ninth among the Big South’s 24 overall runners.
