Big South Announces Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week - Feb. 10

Ava Bower (Lincoln Park, N.J.) has been named the Freshman of the Week.
Glus tallied four points on three goals and one assist in Mercer’s season opener against Virginia Tech. She put four of her six shots on goal, went 1-for-2 on free position shots, and added two ground balls. The senior scored her first goal with 5:48 to go in the third quarter. She recorded a second with 57 seconds remaining in the third quarter, then a third with 6:12 remaining in the fourth as the Bears nearly erased a seven-goal second-half deficit.
Taylor recorded a career-high 15 saves in Wofford’s season opener at Davidson. She finished with a .517 save percentage on 39 shots faced and added eight ground balls. The redshirt sophomore made at least three saves in all four quarters, highlighted by five in the second and four in the fourth. Her 15 saves were six more than any other player in the conference last week.
Bower posted one goal, two draw controls and one caused turnover in her collegiate debut at Coastal Carolina. She put all three of her shots on goal and went 1-for-2 on free position shots. The freshman netted her first-career goal unassisted with 8:45 remaining in fourth quarter.
