Big South Announces Men's Tennis Players of the Week - March 11

Alexandre Bergeron (Montreal, Canada) has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 2-8, it was announced today. In addition, UNC Asheville’s
Daniel Franco-Key (Wrentham, England) was named the Freshman of the Week honoree.
Bergeron took down Big South Preseason Player of the Year Timeo Puech in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to clinch the 4-3 win for the Runnin’ Bulldogs at Longwood.
Franco-Key teamed up with Leo Kolbe to defeat Stonehill’s Guillermo Bennaton and Javier Gutierrez on the No. 3 doubles court, 6-4. In singles, Franco Key picked up a 7-6, 6-1 straight-set win over Benjamin Beaudry on the No. 3 court.
