Big South Announces Men's Tennis Players of the Week - March 25

Daniel Borisov (Dublin, Ireland) has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 16-22, it was announced today. In addition, UNC Asheville’s
Harrison Cooper (Derby, Great Britain) is the Freshman of the Week honoree.
Borisov helped Longwood to a 2-1 week with road wins over Norfolk State (6-1) and UNC Asheville (5-2). He went 2-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles for the week. Borisov's doubles victories were triumphs of 6-4 and 6-3 against Norfolk State and UNC Asheville, respectively. He then won 7-5, 7-5 and 6-2, 6-2 against the same two teams at No. 2 singles.
Cooper earned singles wins against North Carolina A&T, Queens and Longwood last week; notching victories on the No. 5 singles court against the Aggies and Lancers, while earning a victory on the No. 4 singles court against Queens. Cooper teamed up with Griffin Lovern to pick up two wins at the top doubles flight to help Asheville to two wins last week.
