CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – High Point catcher Seojun Oh (Anyang, South Korea) has been named the Big South Baseball Player of the Week, while Winthrop’s Brayden Gilley (Deer Park, Texas) is the Starting Pitcher of the Week for games played March 23-29, it was announced today. In addition, UNC Asheville’s Matthew Hall (Raleigh, N.C.) was selected as the Relief Pitcher of the Week, while Radford right-handed pitcher Parker Noonan (Glen Allen, Va.) is the Freshman of the Week honoree.
 
Oh batted .529 (9-for-17) with four home runs and nine RBI while scoring seven runs in High Point’s perfect 4-0 week. He posted a 1.294 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage, adding a double, two walks and a hit-by-pitch. The junior recorded two three-hit games and delivered a pair of multi-homer performances in the weekend series at Gardner-Webb. He opened the series Friday with a 3-for-3 effort that included a double, three RBI and one run scored. Oh followed by going 2-for-4 with two home runs and one RBI on Saturday before finishing 3-for-6 with two solo shots and three runs scored Sunday. He also added a hit and a run in High Point’s 3-2 midweek win at App State.
 
Gilley tossed 6.0 scoreless innings on two hits while striking out five to earn the win for Winthrop against Charleston Southern on Friday. He walked just two batters and held the Buccaneers to a .111 batting average across 20 batters faced. Both hits allowed were singles in the second inning before Gilley settled in to retire the side in order in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
 
Hall went 2-0 out of the bullpen, combining for 8.0 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out five for UNC Asheville. He opened the week with 3.1 hitless innings in an 8-4 win over Western Carolina, striking out three to secure the Bulldogs’ first win over the Catamounts since 2022. Hall then earned his second win Sunday at USC Upstate, tossing 4.2 innings while allowing two hits and striking out two as Asheville secured a 5-4 victory over the reigning conference champions. He faced 32 batters on the week and held opponents to a .083 batting average.
 
Noonan earned his first career win in his first collegiate start, tossing 5.0 innings while allowing four hits and one earned run against James Madison. He struck out two, walked none and yielded just one extra-base hit while facing 20 batters. The freshman held opposing hitters to a .222 batting average as Radford secured its second win of the season over the Dukes.
