Kelsey Marcos begins her second year with the Big South Conference in 2025-26, as she was named Assistant Commissioner-Championships & Student-Athlete Experience on June 17, 2024.
Marcos joined the Big South team from Van Wagner, where she served as Account Executive of Partnerships on behalf of the conference since 2021-22. A former track & field student-athlete at Big South member Gardner-Webb, Marcos serves in a key leadership role as the primary sport administrator for most Olympic sports and championships, as well as aid in the sport of basketball, manage the conference’s awards program and student-athlete gifts, and focuses on the enhancement of overall student–athlete experiences for all sports. She also oversees the marketing and fan engagement at Big South Championships, in addition to handling championships administration and officiating programs, serving as several coaches’ liaison, and assisting with scheduling.
During her time with Van Wagner, Marcos executed sponsorship fulfillment, created the popular Big South Basketball Trophy Tour in 2022-23, and coordinated in-game promotions during the Big South Basketball and Baseball championships. Marcos also executed various social media campaigns promoting the Basketball Championships as well as other conference initiatives. Prior to her time at Van Wagner, Marcos served as the Assistant Director Game Promotions and Graduate Intern–Director Athletic Marketing at Gardner-Webb.
She and her husband, Jacob, a former baseball student-athlete at Gardner-Webb, reside in Cramerton, N.C.
