Mark Bryant is in his fourth year as Assistant Commissioner for Broadcast Services & Development, and his 19th overall year with the Big South Conference in 2025-26. He has overseen streaming video operations throughout his time with the league, in addition to other media-related responsibilities. He also serves as the league’s administrative liaison for baseball, is the primary manager of the Big South's Facebook page, and is the on-air talent of Big South Network Studio productions.
Bryant, who joined the conference in September 2007, has been instrumental in the evolution and growth of the conference’s video streaming and social media elements, as well as having played a role in developments regarding the Big South website.
Bryant has guided the league's growth of the Big South Network and its live-event productions by overseeing the purchasing and implementation of high quality production equipment upgrades for the membership. Institutional productions league-wide have since developed into regular programming for the ESPN family of networks, with most airing on ESPN+.
Bryant also spearheaded the Big South's entry into social media, as he launched the conference outlets on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, in addition to handling most of the content for each in those early years.
Prior to joining the Big South staff, Bryant's previous work included time at TV and radio stations in Kentucky and South Carolina, as well as the play-by-play voice of the Capital City Bombers minor league baseball team in Columbia, S.C. His radio work with the team earned a South Carolina AP “First Place, Sports Play-by-Play” Award, and his years in baseball and sports media also led to him authoring “Baseball in Columbia” for Arcadia Publishing.
A native of Tampa, Fla., Bryant is a 1992 graduate of the University of Florida, and he resides in Concord, N.C., with his wife, Jeanne. The couple has a son, Griffin.
